Untitled, 2012, 20 x 16 x 5 cm, Plastic toy horse with hair.

My sculptural work in general has largely been inspired by my Irish roots and by Irish landscapes. Horses are commonly seen across Ireland. The horse quickly became a powerful symbol for me, standing for freedom, travel and strength. My untitled sculpture, a toy horse covered in my own hair, exemplifies its creative significance in my work.
